Open-Water Touring Award

The Paddle UK (formerly British Canoe Union) Open-Water Touring Award is a Personal Performance Award.  This award will build on skills and techniques taught during the Touring Award.  For the Open-Water Touring Award we will paddle a longer distance and also look at exploring open-water, whether that be a beginner level sea session or an introduction to paddling on a river.  This is a great award for building your confidence and gaining more experience in a different environment. 

This award also covers journey planning, trimming and edging.

Och Aye Canoe will run courses periodically throughout the year or you can contact us to find a date that suits you better subject to availability.
