Multi-Day Touring Award

The Paddle UK (formerly British Canoe Union) Multi-Day Touring Award is a Personal Performance Award.   This award will continue to develop your own personal skills to allow you to undertake safe, multi-day paddling trips with your peers.  This will be on a variety of waters, including lochs, easy rivers and canals. 

You will learn what equipment you need for an overnight trip out on the water. Depending you where you shall be spending the night, this may include camping equipment and food.  You will need to consider how this can be kept dry and stored so that it can be easily accessed.  You will learn how to identify the best place to camp should you choose to, whilst applying the principles of "Leave No Trace" to ensure that you make as little impact on the surrounding area as possibly.

You will learn how to consider using the environment to your best advantage and develop journeying skills. 

This award will run over two-days.
