Keeping your wetsuit clean and in good condition is important for making sure it lasts a long time. Follow these tips....
1) Rinse your wetsuit in cold, fresh water after each use to remove salt, sand and other debris.
2) Hang your wetsuit to dry in the shade, out of direct sunlight.
3) Don't store your wetsuit in a plastic bag or airtight container, this can cause mildew to form.
4) Use a wetsuit shampoo or mild soap to wash your wetsuit as needed.
5) Avoid using harsh ingredients, as they can damage the material and strip the neoprene of its natural oils.
6) Repair any tears in your wetsuit as soon as possible, using a neoprene repair kit.
7) Allow your wetsuit to dry completed before folding and storing it.
8) Store your wetsuit away from direct heat, such as radiators and heaters.
9) When putting on your wetsuit, try to minimise stretching and pulling by using a lubricant or anti-friction agent.
10) Store your wetsuit in a cool, dry place when not in use.
