How to repair a paddleboard

Repairing a paddleboard can be a relatively simple process depending on the extent of the damage.  Here are a few steps to take when fixing a paddleboard.

1) Inspect the board for any cracks or dings.  If the damage is minor you can attempt to repair it yourself.  If the damage is more significant you may need to take it to a professional.

2) Use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe off any dirt or debris from the damaged area.

3) If you are repairing a ding, use a putty knife to scrape away any loose or flaking material.

4) Your board should have come with a repair kit, such as the one in the photo above (Hopefully you had it in the waterproof container!). Apply a patch or epoxy to the damaged area and allow to dry for several hours.

5) Once the patch or epoxy has dried use sandpaper to smooth out the area.

6) Apply a sealant to the area to finish the repair.
