RYA & British Canoeing Theory lessons

Build your confidence on the water with classroom-based theory training from Och Aye Canoe. We offer British Canoeing Awarding Body (BCAB) certified modules in Tides, Weather and Navigation, suitable for paddlers, rowers, sailors and anyone who spends time on the water.

As a qualified RYA Navigation Instructor, Sarah also provides private theory revision sessions tailored to your needs, whether you're studying for RYA Day Skipper, Yachtmaster Theory, or simply looking to improve your knowledge. These sessions can help you develop a practical understanding of nautical charts, buoyage systems, tidal planning, weather forecasting, route planning, navigation techniques and safe decision-making, giving you greater confidence and competence on the water.
