Should you fail to attend your session or cancel your session on the day your activity is booked you, or within 24 hours of your booking, you will NOT be entitled to any refund. Should you cancel at any other time you will only be entitled to 50% refund, or to reschedule where available. If the activity is cancelled by Och Aye Canoe you will receive a full refund or can reschedule if preferred. Main reasons Och Aye Canoe cancelling would be conditions being deemed too windy or otherwise unsafe.
Gift vouchers are valid until the date shown on the voucher and cannot be redeemed after the expiry date. Promotional codes cannot be used in conjunction with gift vouchers. Email vouchers shall be provided free of charge to the email address provided at point of purchase. There may be additional costs associated with provision of a postal voucher. Sessions must be pre-booked. Spaces are only secured once session is booked and confirmed by Och Aye Canoe, so it is recommended that you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Vouchers are non-refundable and there is no cash alternative. Lost, stolen or destroyed gift vouchers will not be exchanged or refunded. In the unlikely event that a session needs to be cancelled by Och Aye Canoe a new gift voucher will be issued. If the session is cancelled by voucher holder no refund will be given.
Och Aye Canoe is dedicated to providing safe and enjoyable activities and skills training, however, the nature of the activities and the locations used means that a risk of personal injury or even death may be present, despite all efforts made to reduce the risks. All participants are reminded that a real element of risk may always be present.
Participants in activities and parents or legal guardians should be aware of and accept these risks as part of the course and be responsible for their own involvement.
Under 18’s must have a parent or legal guardian present / contactable at all times whilst the activity is on-going.
Not fully disclosing any medical information may lead to dangerous occurrences or even death. I understand this.
I consent to all medical treatment required in the case of an emergency, in accordance with the recommendation of a medical practitioner.
I accept the right of Och Aye Canoe to cancel the activity after it has begun in the event of extreme weather or dangerous occurrence.
I also accept the right of Och Aye Canoe to remove me from the activity if, by personal action, I place myself or anyone else in danger. Such actions may result from the use of alcohol or drugs or poor judgement by me. In this event I should expect to forfeit all activity fees.
By booking onto an Och Aye Canoe activity or course you are declaring that *You and any Under 18’s in your party are physically and medically cable of undertaking the booked activity *You and any Under 18’s in your party do not require a translator and can follow instructions in English
*You take responsiblity for your own safety and that of any Under 18’s in your party
*You agree to follow the advice and direcion of instructors at all times *You understand that failing to do so may result in injury or death.
*Och Aye Canoe cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or theft of personal equipment and belongings during our activities and courses.
Och Aye Canoe advises you to leave items of value at home or to have them suitably insured against damage and loss under your own policy.
Och Aye Canoe carries insurance for Public Liability. This policy does not cover personal injury and Och Aye Canoe would advise you to seek your own cover.
COVID Precautions – Social distancing to be maintained and people should keep within their physical and skill limits. In the event of capsize clients will be encouraged to swim to shore or climb back onto the craft, where required Och Aye Canoe have a variety of ways to rescue. Where required to maintain safety Och Aye Canoe may come within 2 metres. Prior to use Och Aye Canoe’s equipment is washed down and disinfected, with particular attention to carry handles and touch points. All paddles are disinfected between sessions. On arrival at the venue each person will be allocated equipment. Clients should bring their own hand sanitiser. If you or someone you live with has or has symptoms of COVID-19 you should follow current Government guidance on self-isolation etc.
