River Trips by Sit-on Kayak

Och Aye Canoe is excited to now be offering river trips by sit-on kayak! Stanley, in Perthshire, is a great place to learn how to safely move around on the river and to enjoy some gentle rapids too. The River Tay is the longest river in Scotland and passes through Stanley. Ideally you will already know how to paddle a kayak before coming on this trip, however you just need to know the basics, as in how to turn and move forward.

After a gentle paddle around the slower water we will move on to learning how to safely move across moving water and if you like you can even have a go at surfing some waves! There is no pressure and the maximum group size will be three.

If you fancy it you can also learn enough skills during your river trip to pick up your British Canoe Union Paddle Discover Award. All equipment is provided and all you need to do is meet in Stanley at the given meeting time. The river is a great place to learn new skills, meet other people, get some exercise and have fun!!
