BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (3 HOURS)
The Basic Life Support qualification will give you the skills and knowledge to act in an emergency situation providing the casualty with critical life saving assistance until support arrives. The qualification is delivered following the protocols set by the Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines, and is a mixture of theoretical and practical activities.
Topics covered are:-
- Cardiopulmonary Rescusitation (CPR)
- Safe us of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Primary Survey
- Recovery Position
- Choking
This qualification is valid for 3 years from the date of achievement. All candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age to qualify.
